First and foremost, we are adventures, mentors, and storytellers. We are inspiration makers and courage builders. We seek to create unforgettable moments that remind others' of our common humanity-to inspire, encourage, comfort, expose, challenge and to bear witness to the beauty, excitement, and mystery to life. We aspire to help women break free from who they think they are to who they are meant to be.
The word “Wayward” means a person who thinks for themselves.A person who refuses to bend to the conventions of society.Although Wayward Adventures supports the role in healthcare tremendously, we believe that treating the whole person is the best prescription to overall health and healing. Wayward Adventures was born out of the premise of honoring those wild spirits that we so lovingly call our grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters, and daughters.
How it works
Wayward Adventures is on a mission to create a community of compassion for those women affected by cancer, not just a program. Joining the Wayward family is rather simple. If you are a woman who has been affected by cancer, simply contact us either through our adventure or rejuvenation page and we will be in touch with you shortly. If you are a healthcare provider, consider prescribing adventure today! If you wish to volunteer or partner with us, head over to our volunteer and/or donate page. Wayward Adventures has 20 years of experience in the field of oncology and palliative care. Through our clinical experiences and countless client stories-we have listened to our clients! With an integrative approach to cancer care, we aim to include all levels of our clients being-their experience of body, mind, soul, and spirit within the self, their specific culture, and the natural world.
