As we turn three this year, we spent some time reflecting on how our agency should celebrate this milestone.
We've chosen to become an All Women's Cancer organization.
We will always be a breast cancer organization. It remains our primary focus and mission. We will continue our partnership with the Breast, Cervical and Colon Health Program and expand our fundraising, advocacy and education to include cervical cancer as well. And, as part of our ongoing desire to be a wellness origination, we'll provide current guidelines for screenings, tests and conversation tips for how to be our own best health advocates.
This year we've added Wayward Adventures to our line up as well. Wayward exists to provide outdoor adventures and healing opportunities for all women affected by cancer. Our Adventure Program includes: Yoga, Ice Climbing, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Skiing, Walking Meditation, Backpacking, Mountaineering, and Snowshoeing. Our Revive Program builds on the concepts of adventure and the outdoors to incorporate additional healing properties. We offer healing retreats, mindfulness training, art and sound therapy, nutrition, counseling, education, mentorship, and meaningful workshops.
The heart represents our role as an agency - a connector of funding, resources and community.
Our new logo is mostly pink as a nod to our primary focus on breast cancer. The teal color is in honor of cervical and ovarian cancers, the peach for endometrial, uterine and gynecological cancers and the pop of lavender the end of the ribbon is to acknowledge any woman who is fighting, experiencing or living with other cancers. Wherever you see white in the logo, this is our way of paying tribute to all of the family, loved ones, friends and caregivers in the lives of those on a cancer journey. #NoOneFightsAlone
