Tekoa’s City Council officially recognizes June 17, 2018 as Breast Cancer Awareness day and their community is supporting our first ever Golf Scramble. To find out more about this quaint and welcoming city, visit Tekoa online HERE.
Don’t forget to save the date and help us drive out breast cancer!
Join us for the first Every Woman Can Golf Scramble: Sunday, June 17 Tekoa, Washington 1 p.m.
Our event is more than just a round of golf, it's hope for the future. And now, through Every Woman Can, all donations and funds raised stay local. This means that the woman you help is a mother, sister, a grandmother, an aunt or loved one of someone who lives next door. Your dollars and your participation matter for the women (and men!) in the Inland Northwest who need your help.
Space is limited - register now so you don't miss out!
Every Woman Can (EWC) invites you to our inaugural Golf Scramble at Tekoa Golf Course on Father’s Day, June 17, 2018. Our mission for this event is to raise awareness that 1 in 1,000 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and to encourage the men in our lives to talk with their doctors about their risk factors and preventative care services.
We’d also like to give thanks for the Dads in our region who are co-survivors, playing an important role for those women in their lives who are fighting and surviving breast cancer.
Every Woman Can is a local non-profit dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer. The money raised goes to help loved ones and neighbors throughout the Inland Northwest receive a life-saving mammogram who would not otherwise be able to afford it. The cost to participate is a minimum donation of $25. Participants can register at our booth at the Slippery Gulch Celebration on Saturday June 16, or online at www.EveryWomanCan.org. The Scramble will begin at 1pm with a “shotgun” start. Every Woman Can would like to thank our sponsors for their support in hosting this event: Tekoa Golf Course, Tekoa Chamber of Commerce, Tekoa Pharmacy, Tekoa Hardware, The Feeding Station, EClairs and Golden Grain Artistry.
Special thanks to the city of Tekoa for passing Resolution 18-04 recognizing June 17, 2018 as Breast Cancer Awareness Day! We’ll see you in June!
