Every Woman Can at your service

Since 2017 we’ve produced seven runs, raised money for awareness, education and provided dollars for women to get mammograms and spread the word throughout the Pacific Northwest — mammograms save lives.

Our Mission | We’re Here to Help

We know life changes with a cancer diagnosis. We can connect you to resources, to programs and to a community of hope.

Take a look around our site. Let us know what you need.

We see you - the women who are in their treatment journey, those who are living with or who have experienced cancer and, those families and loved ones of those we've lost who live on in our memories. We also see the co-survivors, those loved ones who accompany the women through their cancer journey.

Every Woman Can is a grassroots organization made up of volunteer advocates to support survivors, thrivers, warriors and the co-survivors.

We began in February 2017 with a mission to be at the heart of the women's cancer fight and to serve locally. We help our mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmothers until breast cancer, and women's cancers in general, don't affect one more person. #NoOneFightsAlone

Together we can make a difference.

To my Warrior friend I haven’t yet met, ☺
Always remember:
You are STRONG
You are COURAGEOUS
You are a FIGHTER
You are NOT ALONE – even when no one is around.

What We Do

  • Raise Awareness. Mammograms save lives. A good partnership with a healthcare practitioner combined with regular check ups can be a game changer when it comes to flourishing in life.

  • Community Events. With our community partners, we lift up and celebrate those women experiencing cancer: Spokane Chiefs Fight Cancer Night (Puck Cancer!), Women With Balls Bowl, Spokane County Fair PRCATough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo, and our Pink Ribbon Run.

  • State Healthcare Advocacy. We’re working alongside other agencies, healthcare organizations and individuals across the state to pass the Access to Diagnostic Imaging bill in #WALeg (HB 1261 and SB 5396).

PASSED! This legislation eliminates patient cost-sharing for diagnostic testing for breast cancer, which is performed when there is an abnormality in the screening mammogram or instead of the screening mammogram for high-risk patients.

  • National Healthcare Advocacy. We support the National Breast Cancer Coalition and the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act. This Act calls for the passage of legislation to waive the 24-month waiting period for Medicare and the 5-month waiting period for Social Security Disability Insurance benefits for eligible individuals with metastatic breast cancer

  • Encourage Wellness. Build a practice of actions that nourish wellbeing and holistic health for every woman, and support women as they advocate for themselves.

  • Promote Health Education. Helping to develop and advocate for ongoing health practices, including cancer screenings, to enhance and improve quality of life for all women always with the intention of accessibility and equity.

  • Online Support. No one says it better than someone who’s been there. We offer support for the women in/on their journey and the loved ones who support them.
